We know you depend on the Senior Center for social connection and access to other resources and social supports. During this temporary closure, should you need to chat, have questions or are seeking resources – we encourage you to call us at 850-891-4000, M-F, between 8 am – 4 pm, or email us (click here for a list of staff contacts).
Dear Participants, Volunteers, Instructors and Partners,
Dear TSC Family & Friends,
We hope you are finding our communication helpful. If you attended a Senior Center or Outreach program earlier this year, we are attempting to connect you via an old-fashioned telephone call. Thus far, in one week, we have called over 722 of our regular, registered participants. If you would like a phone call, and haven’t received one yet, just email Sheila.Salyer@talgov.com.
We know it’s very difficult, but we want to insist that you all stay home as much as possible. Don’t go to gatherings of more than 10 people. Keep 6 feet away from people you don’t know. Our TSC Team is working hard to help you remember you are not in this alone. The better we self-isolate, the sooner things will get back to normal, and we can welcome you back.
While we are closed, we are using this time to explore offering some classes and activities online. Register for virtual classes HERE and learn more about on-demand classes and events HERE. Stay tuned for more “virtual/live” activities!
We will also be providing some video training on how to access these programs and other useful resources. So, when we are on the other side of COVID-19 – you will have more options to participate in programs and be even more tech savvy.
We want to let you know that staff is working more rom home. We will only be coming to the Center to check the building, and ensure we have what we need to stay connected with you.
If you call the main number, 850-891-4000, it will be forwarded to a staff member’s phone from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Stay well and take care,
The Tallahassee Senior Center & Foundation Team
