  • Geologic Highlights and Fall Travel through New England and New York
     September 6, 2022
     5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

The northeast region of the United States has many great places to visit and has excellent geology to be seen along the way. Join geologist Joe Haberfeld for highlights of a 2021 fall foliage trip to New England and New York and plan a future vacation. Vermont and New Hampshire combine rugged mountain ranges with gorgeous lakes and small-town charm. New York has something for everybody, such as the mighty Adirondack Mountains with Lake Placid and one billion-year-old rocks, wineries in the glaciated Finger Lake region, a world class museum of glass in Corning, the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, and fossil hunting too! The Mark Twain House and Museum in Hartford, Connecticut and the seashore of Cape Cod, Massachusetts round out this adventure. Hybrid class, in person at the TSC and on Zoom.
