  • The Library of Congress: America’s Library
     September 21, 2022
     2:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Nell Stranburg was a docent at the Library of Congress Jefferson building for two years before the Pandemic shut down the Library in March 2020. The first time she toured the Library of Congress, she thought the Jefferson Building was most beautiful building in Washington D.C.  In this program, she will take you on a tour of the Jefferson Building which is one of three LOC buildings on Capitol Hill. This building was opened in 1897 and has beautiful statuary, paintings, and mosaics throughout. We will visit the Great Hall, Main Reading Room, and look at the artwork on the Mezzanine Level. Hybrid class, in person at TSC and on Zoom.
