Butterfly Hike at St. Mark's Trail
October 23, 2024
8:30 am - 2:00 pm
Come explore with amateur butterfly enthusiast Lisa Baggett as butterfly season gets underway and learn to identify common butterflies found in north Florida like the common buckeye, white peacock, several types of swallowtails, and the endangered monarch butterfly. We will also be looking for some of the many species of birds that call the refuge home for all or part of the year. Be prepared to walk on some uneven terrain. Includes transportation from the Senior Center and picnic lunch afterwards at Picnic Pond. Please wear loose comfortable clothes, hat, walking shoes, and bring sunscreen and insect repellant. Bring your own drinking water.
