Margaret Van Every is a contemporary American poet, essayist, and short story writer known for her mastery of Japanese short forms like tanka. After living in central Mexico for over a decade, where she was a founding member of the Not Yet Dead Poets Society in Ajijic, she currently resides in Tallahassee, Florida.
Her poetry often explores profound themes of life, love, death, and metamorphosis with a blend of “reverence and earthy humor.”
