     December 15, 2020
     10:00 am - 11:00 am

Tue. Dec. 15, 10 – 11 a.m. The weather is finally cooling off a bit, and the holidays are upon us. Most North Florida communities have their own special ways of celebrating this special season, but what did those celebrations look like in the 1800s? Join historian Dr. Josh Goodman from the State Archives of Florida for a virtual tour of 19th-century holiday traditions, as explained in sources written by the people who experienced them. Customs, decorations, and lots of food will be up for discussion—we’ll even share some recipes from local kitchens that date back at least 150 years. Virtual class on Zoom. Fee $5
