Use impressionistic techniques like the master himself with acrylics (all skill levels), or oils (experienced) in this beginner’s workshop.

This class is designed to inspire students to create impressionistic artwork. We will study the Impressionists, especially Monet, and his unique approach to capturing light and form on canvas, interpreting the reality he saw with  dreamlike and ethereal, sometimes visionary, perception. We will study the way he used his color palette to achieve these images..

Materials:

Sketch books, 1 to 2 canvases for finished paintings (11×17 and square canvases work well)

Medium: acrylics or oils

3 brushes in various sizes
