Weaving Wallets  (on handmade cardboard Loom)

Mondays, 1pm – 5pm

Lets weave yarns, fabrics and ribbons at the Senior Center into a fabulous textured wallet about 5″ by 3″. Great for your credit, membership cards, business cards or emergency folded money. Or maybe a delightful woven case 6″ by 3″ for your eye glasses!

We will be making a cardboard loom the first day of class plus cutting our own strips of fabrics to weave. I used strips of plastic bags, old clothes, textured and colorful yarns from home for my purse. String will be available at the center.

All art level skills welcomed!

Supplies to bring:
Your own colorful textured fabrics and yarn if you have them and would like to use them

Materials provided:
Fabrics for strips
Yarns(various thicknesses)
String
Tapestry needle
Scissors
Cardboard 15″by 16″
