When I came on board in April 2004, I had planned to stay for one year– to learn about non-profits and to implement a grant that created wellness programs on the Southside. Fast forward 20 years… those Southside programs are still going strong, and these days, I supervise all of the health, wellness, and fitness programs at TSC.
I have been incredibly fortunate to have fallen into the “perfect job,” and to be part of many great accomplishments of the TSC team. During my 20 years here, my own life has been enriched in many ways — I have forged close friendships with co-workers, participants, and colleagues, my understanding of our community has expanded, and I have become “expert” on many dimensions of aging. Hopefully, the skills and knowledge acquired will enable me to stay active, independent, graceful, connected, and creative for a LONG, LONG time. And that is exactly what we aspire to inspire for all adults age 50+.
