  • Archaeology of Brewing Beer / Tour and Tasting at Oyster City
     September 13, 2022
     2:30 pm - 5:30 pm

From homebrewers to hop heads, and all those in between, beer is a huge part of our culture today. But what exactly is beer and how did it come to be? The art of brewing and our understanding of beer has evolved over centuries, but its significance in human history is timeless. Join us on a journey as we explore beer, both past and present, to unlock some of the mysteries of this enduring fermented beverage. Archaeologist Barbara Clark, from the Florida Public Archaeology Network, will enlighten us on the history and mystery surrounding this popular beverage at the Tallahassee Senior Center. Then we will head to Oyster City Brewing Company for a tour and a flight of beer. Optional transportation from the Tallahassee Senior Center to Oyster City Brewing.
