  • Foraging Walk
     April 17, 2021
     10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Guyte McCord Park is truly one of Tallahassee’s most precious hidden gems that is home to a collection of beautiful bronze sculptures created by native Tallahassee world-class artist W. Stanley “Sandy” Proctor. The park is also a treasure trove of edible plants such as wild onions and wood sorrel. Join local forager Greg Haberfeld for a walk in the park to seek out, identify, and sample some of these common edible plants that are all around us. Bring water and wear sunscreen, insect repellent, and comfortable walking shoes. Instructor and participants will meet at 10:30 am at the parking area 2121 Armistead Rd. Participants must wear masks. There is plenty of room to social distance. $5.00 donation. Limited space available.
