Sold Out Gadsden Arts Center Tour

We’ll have a guided tour of some of the current exhibits including Jacob Lawrence: Three Series of Prints. Jacob Lawrence (1917-2000) has produced a body of work that captures Black history and human history through the artist’s unique and dramatic style. Lawrence told stories through series of paintings and in his graphic work. Lawrence’s work chronicles a universal struggle toward equality that is deeply seated in the depths of the human consciousness. This exhibition features 31 graphic works created between 1983 and 1997. After the tour you will have time on your own for shopping and lunch in Quincy’s beautiful square which has several new shops and restaurants. $10 fee includes museum admission and transportation from the TSC.
