Julie Torres: Generations at Gadsden Art Center
July 9, 2026
2:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Julie Miller Torres works at the intersection of fine art and craft, combining traditional printmaking, crochet, and weaving techniques to create her distinctive “woven screenprints” and “paper quilts.” Born in Boise, Idaho, and raised in Tallahassee, Florida, Torres draws upon her background in both art and law to explore themes of freedom and empowerment, transforming legal texts and civic ideals into intricate visual narratives. Fee $10 includes museum admission and tour.
