Use impressionistic techniques like the master himself with acrylics in this beginner’s workshop.

This class is designed to inspire students to create impressionistic artwork. We will use videos to study the Impressionists, especially Monet, and his unique approach to capturing light and form on canvas, interpreting the reality he saw with a dreamlike and ethereal, sometimes visionary, perception. We will also study the way impressionists in general used their color palette to achieve their masterpieces to create your own.

Materials:

1 to 2 canvases for finished paintings (11×17 and square canvases work well)

Medium: acrylics

3 brushes in various sizes
