If you are interested in the pleasure and benefits of biking, you will want to learn about efforts to make biking in Tallahassee safer and more convenient for all. Presented by Apalachee Regional Planning Council

Wed., March 13  “Auto safety: Keep you Car Healthy”  *Rescheduled to April 10

City of Tallahassee Fleet management will discuss the importance of keeping your vehicle maintained and offer some hand-on experience for simple things you can do to keep your vehicle safely on the road for longer.

Wed., April 10  “Self Defense and Personal Safety”
This workshop will teach how to avoid becoming a victim. When verbal or physical response is needed to counter an immediate threat to you and/or your home, you will be prepared to react and have a favorable outcome if you are familiar with common-sense recommendations of the experts.  Presented by Tallahassee Police Department

FL Blue and  City of Tallahassee as they present tips and information about how to prepare yourself and your home for hot summers and weather emergencies.  Join us to learn how Tallahassee offers its neighborhood Plan for Readiness and Emergency Preparedness (PREP) program, and how to “build your own emergency bucket.” Presented by COT Neighborhood Affairs, Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Affairs and Florida Blue

The UF IFAS extension presents a special workshop on the importance of good hydration in the summer heat.  Includes demo for some hydrating and tasty options to plain water.
