Explore vast underground worlds in search of geologic “fingerprints” that reveal clues about the planet’s history with paleoclimatologist Dr. Gina Moseley in Ancient Caves. Moseley and her team of cave explorers travel the world exploring vast underground worlds in search of stalagmite samples – geologic “fingerprints” – that reveal clues about the planet’s history. Their quest leads them to some of the world’s most remote caves, both above and below the water, in France, Iceland, the Bahamas, the U.S. and Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. Together, they go where very few humans will ever go, revealing the incredible lengths scientists will go to study the unknown. Fee $20 with transportation; $15 without transportation.
Information for participants driving themselves: The Kleman Parking Garage is the closest public parking garage to the Challenger Learning Center. Entrances to the Kleman Parking Garage are located on South Duval Street and South Bronough Streets. First hour is $2 and each additional hour is $1.
