Florida Seashells                                                                          Tue., March 21, 10:00 am – Noon TSC Activity Room

Florida is a lush habitat for beautiful and interesting seashells. Most shells are univalves – single shells – or bivalves – two shells, such as clams and oysters. Participants will examine over 90 species of shells found in Florida. Shells will be identified using common names instead of scientific Latin names and a handout will be provided. Those completing this course should be able to identify Florida shells they collect. Get ready for your next trip to the beach with instructor Dr. Ed Frayer. Participants attending the Beach Exploration Walk may want to also register for this class. In person class. Space limited. Fee $5
