Tallahassee Senior Center 40th Ruby Anniversary

We invite you to find out why so many have found their place at the TSC. Please join us on Tuesday, August 28 for our 40th Anniversary celebration and open house!

Beginning with the program at 11 a.m., long-time participants, board members, instructors, and activity leaders will share their fond memories of good times at the TSC.

Guests of honor include as many as 50 nonagenarian (90-year-old) active seniors, who will be recognized by Neil Charness, director of the FSU Institute for Successful Longevity.

Recognizing: Margaret Lynn Duggar, first Advisory Council Chair; Mary Crozier, first director; Marie Cowart, Ph.D., FSU College of Nursing; and, the AARP Local Chapter.

The Tallahassee Active Lifelong Leaders (TALL) Program, one of TSC’s signature programs, will also observe its 10th Anniversary.

The history of TSC programs will be on display throughout the building, showcasing longstanding activities like Senior Singers, Life Exercise, Crafting Bee, Wellness Screenings, and Elder Care’s Lunch Bunch, and newer ones, such as LifeLong Learning and Outdoor Pursuits.
