NE Branch Library, 5313 Thomasville Road

Join local author and native Floridian Kermit Brown as he guides class members on how to write stories from their lives. It is important to share with children and grandchildren, as well as others, what everyday life was like in the past. Brown, author of “My Life in North Florida,” a collection of 12 short stories from his youth in Apalachicola, will share his storytelling techniques and tips.

Brown has led an interesting life steeped in history and adventure. He retired in 1994 after a long career working in Florida’s museums. In 2011, he took up archery and is now preparing to compete in barebow recurve archery at the National Senior Games in June. He is a familiar face at the Tallahassee Senior Center, where he often lectures on history and writing.

Please join us for this inspiring class and learn how to write your own stories. Purchase your tickets below.
